I set it all up and could not find the option to set the jack to input. I searched everywhere and there is no real solution to this. I could not find the option on any device IOS Android or Webapp. The solution is to. REMOVE THE ECHO. and add it as ECHO PLUS. Once you do this you will have the same options as before but now with the AUX input.. The audio jack on all Echo Dot models (1st gen thru current 4th gen) is output only. Even among the "full size" audio-only Echo models, only a select few have the option to switch the jack to input mode (such as the current 4th gen model and the previous Echo Plus 2nd gen).
